Live scanning demonstration

Framers, reprographic experts, art collectors, artists and anyone interested are invited to bring their own originals to the Contex booth for scanning demonstrations, highlighting the scanner’s ability to preserve delicate, framed or other hard-to-digitize artwork. By scanning without direct contact, Contex’ technology ensures that framed pieces, canvases, and fragile originals remain untouched, avoiding the risk of damage or wear.

“Our contact-free art scanning technology is designed to revolutionize how artwork is digitized,” says Jerry Gautereaux, Sales Manager at Contex Americas. “We’re excited to demonstrate the ease, precision, and safety of our solution to the art and framing community at the West Coast Art & Framing Expo. It’s a chance for attendees to see firsthand how we’re redefining industry standards.”

The Contex art scanner is the ideal tool for reprographic shops, framing experts, galleries, and museums looking to digitize artwork for archiving, reproduction, or sharing. The scanner offers unmatched color accuracy with a FADGI 4-star compliance. Outputs are high-resolution, and the cameras capture every detail in any original, from the texture left by brush strokes to the finest gradients of color.

Framed artwork digitized in 5 minutes

American Reprographics invested in the new Contex contact-free art scanner, HD Apeiron/42 to which has saved them a lot of time with editing the digitized files from two hours to five minutes.

However, it has not just saved them time but also improved their results:

“The prints that I can create from those scans are what people get blown away by. That’s what brings people back being like “Wow, I didn’t know you could do this.”,” says Colin Treado, President and owner of American Reprographics, and he continues:

“The speed of it is great, the ease of it is great, no warm-up time is great. It’s solving problems without creating problems.”
